Fall Festival

When Casey Ann's parents came down a couple of weeks ago, we headed over to down town Mesa for the their Fall Festival. There were lots of vendors on the sidewalks and some of the side streets were shut down with booths and crafts. It was really fun, besides being really hot. The kids had tons of fun. Here are some pics.

Want Some Burros?

Casey Ann's parents came down to visit everyone last week.  We had lots of fun hanging out and eating good food.  We HAD to go eat Mexican Food and there's not a better place than Someburros (and it was close to Sean and Amy's house).  Read came over and was delighted to eat some good mexican food.
When we moved back to Arizona the first place we ate at was Someburros.  Needless to say we (I) like it a lot.

Rare getaway

A few weeks ago, Casey Ann's mom and sister invited her to go to Florida for a week while her dad was working there (free trip).  She hadn't been on a trip without the kids (or me) for years and it was a good opportunity to go have some fun with her parents and sister.  They got to tour Ernest Hemmingway's home also.  They really liked that.

They stayed in Miami for the week and traveled down to Key West one day.  It was a 3-hr drive, but worth it they said.  They drove on a bridge that was several miles long over the ocean.  It's the same one in the movie "True Lies".  They went to the beach in Miami and also went on an air-boat tour of the everglades.  She had a blast.

Here's some pics.

Dropping Like Flies

Brynley lost her fifth tooth last night.  We can't believe how fast she's losing them.  We think she should be a jack-o-lantern for Halloween.

Blog Safety

I got this info from a friend's blog and thought it was good to review regarding Blog Safety.

1. Never offer any personal information including your last name, contact information, home address, phone numbers, school's name, e-mail address, last names of friends or relatives, instant messaging names, age, or birth date.
2. Decide up front how much personal information you will share on your blog
3. Consider the way you are perceived online
4. Assume what you publish on the Web is permanent. Anyone on the Internet can easily print out a blog or save it to a computer.
5. Use blogging provider sites with clearly stated terms of use, and make sure they can protect the actual blogs, not just the user accounts, with password protection. (Even so, it's better to assume anyone can see it.)
6. Avoid trying to "outdo" or compete with other bloggers. Remember this is for fun!
7. Keep blogs positive and don't use them for slander or to attack others.
8. Ask yourself (and instruct your kids to do the same) if you are you comfortable showing any of the content to a stranger. If in doubt, take it out.
9. Keep your reoccurring events private (swimming lessons @ the same time, park days, etc.) also don't let on that your husband will be out of town or gone!!!

As a result I have taken all of my family and friends' last names off their blog links on our blog just to be safe. I guess you can't be too careful.
